Received prestigious accolades, including a Gold Addy and Judges' Choice at the local level, as well as a Silver Addy at Districts for the creation of Lego Wiz E. Wig—an interactive collateral piece strategically designed to encapsulate Bit-Wizards' affection for their mascot, Wiz E. Wig, and the realm of all things geeky.
I conceived this innovative collateral piece to offer recipients an engaging experience. Lego Wiz E. Wig arrives in custom-branded packaging, ready for assembly, featuring an insert housing a QR code that leads users to step-by-step build instructions. Tasked by leadership with delivering an impressive collateral piece, I embraced this challenge as a personal endeavor to craft the most groundbreaking and inventive creation in Bit-Wizards' repertoire.
The process commenced with the 3D rendering of Wizzy, based on an existing wizard Lego build. Multiple iterations followed, refining Wizzy's design to align with our vision better. I undertook the challenge of branding Wizzy beyond the packaging, exploring diverse options such as custom Lego pieces and vinyl stickers. Opting for cost-effectiveness and practicality, we chose the vinyl sticker, which I conceptualized and delegated its implementation to a team member.
Further, I ensured that the instructions were comprehensive and aligned with our brand identity, accompanying the Lego components. The final phase involved meticulous packaging design, necessitating research into custom packaging solutions. Collaborating with a teammate, we identified a vendor and devised an attractive, on-brand packaging solution that elegantly housed the diverse Lego components sourced from various vendors.
Managing this multifaceted project demanded meticulous attention to detail and effective orchestration of numerous moving parts. My responsibility was to ensure seamless progress and maintain project momentum throughout its execution.
